      Jeanette Freeman is an artist from Skokie, Illinois

currently exploring the theme of mental health through her colorful, surreal paintings.  Through her figurative narratives she shares her curiosity of the brain and the influences that depression and anxiety play on an individual. 

       She has shown her work most recently in Chicago at Happy Gallery and at North Park University for Art Extravaganza. 

       Throughout her career, she has taught art to children using a variety of mediums.  She also has a preschool teacher background where she encourages creativity and art daily within her classroom. 

      She received an Art Merit Scholarship from Northeastern Illinois University for Spring of 2018 and again for Fall of 2018.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Art, Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern Illinois University and today is finishing up a Masters of Arts Teaching from North Park University with plans to teach Art.
